Through its programmes and initiatives, the Council will champion excellence across these priority sectors, celebrate the individuals and organisations driving progress and provide a platform through which emerging opportunities, challenges and innovations can be explored.

Over time, the Council will establish dedicated leadership communities, awards programmes, research initiatives, sector forums and recognition platforms aligned to each priority sector.

While the British Leadership Council’s initial focus will be on these priority sectors, its long-term ambition is broader. The British Leadership Council seeks to become a platform that brings together leadership from every part of British society, recognising that the future success of the nation will depend upon collaboration between business, government, academia, the public sector, charities, social enterprises and civil society alike.

The objective is simple: to ensure that the sectors and organisations helping shape Britain’s future are connected by a common belief in leadership, excellence, innovation and Britain’s continued place as one of the world’s most influential nations.
